Sometimes a big collar is enough to make a coat. The Betty starts from that idea: a short coat in vegan fur whose oversized collar carries all the volume, at the top of the silhouette, close to the face. All its character sits above the shoulders: it favors the presence of a generous collar over length. It shares a short, relaxed cut with the Tabatha coat, but trades the hood for that collar.
Below the collar, the construction stays simple. The cut is relaxed, and concealed hooks keep the fur in one unbroken surface. Two slanted pockets, long sleeves, and a full lining finish the garment, designed in one size. The Betty works as well over a dressy outfit as with jeans: the collar sets the tone, the rest follows. Its vegan fur, free of any animal-derived material, calls for professional dry cleaning.
Behind the Betty stands Maison Quivernay, our sister house, a Parisian vegan fur house. We present it openly as such: it is the house to which the maison entrusts its fur pieces, from scarves to coats. The Betty takes shape there, like the Tabatha hooded short coat, the Babylone lapel coat, and the Sophie jacket.
Each of these pieces starts from a simple shape and one detail that signs it: the Tabatha’s hood, the Babylone’s lapels, the Sophie’s three-quarter sleeves, and for the Betty, a collar seen from afar. All belong to the world of our vegan fur.
