Some evenings, a coat would be too much and bare shoulders feel the chill. The Sophie jacket was made for those moments: a cropped jacket made entirely of white short-pile vegan fur, worn over a dress or a fine knit, warm without weight. It sits on the shoulders like a stole, with sleeves. Its lightness comes from the cut rather than the material: the same short-pile vegan fur is found on the Babylone and Tabatha coats.
Its construction is deliberately restrained. The round neckline closes with a discreet hook, and the three-quarter sleeves stop short to show the wrist. The short cut and full lining give it a light drape. One size, the Sophie suits in-between seasons as well as cool winter evenings, over daywear or evening clothes.
White does the rest. Over a dark outfit, it brightens the top of the silhouette; over a light one, it carries the brightness of the whole look and lets the fur catch the light. It calls for professional dry cleaning.
