The Brigitte is the flap shoulder bag of the maison, a structured silhouette recognizable at first glance. The Brigitte comes in two writings. The Oxymore plays on contrast: smooth Uppeal™ meets recycled microsuede, and two removable straps, one in Uppeal™, the other a brass chain, take it from the shoulder to a crossbody carry. The Couture embraces restraint: plain Uppeal™ and a piped topstitch along the flap, a finish inherited from traditional saddlery. Each writing comes in Black, Camel and Burgundy, and in Sand in bamboo-based material. Inside, three compartments and two pockets, one of them zipped. Each Compagnon wallet carries on the writing of a Brigitte bag.
The Marilyn is the maison’s small crossbody bag: a rounded flap and a ball-head mechanical clasp, custom-designed for Ashoka Paris by a French family-owned industrial house, with expertise passed down through three generations. Its strap adjusts and detaches; it is worn crossbody, on the shoulder or by hand. It comes in two writings: Uppeal™ and recycled microsuede in Black, or Caramel Uppeal™ with leopard-print panels. It is crafted in our Portuguese partner workshop, dedicated exclusively to bags and accessories, where each bag is shaped from cutting to finishing.
Two more compact handbags also go crossbody. The Mini Paname, the most everyday expression of the Paname line, runs its brass chain across the body or doubles it on the shoulder. The Pretty, the handbag of the Kromatik line, adjusts its nylon strap for a crossbody carry. The Brigitte and the Mini Paname are crafted in our Thai partner workshop, dedicated exclusively to bags and accessories, where each piece is shaped from cutting to finishing; the Pretty, in our Chinese partner workshop.
Apart from the Sand colors, all of them share Uppeal™, crafted in Florence from apple residue, in the Florentine tradition of working fine materials. There is no need to choose between beauty and conviction: a vegan crossbody bag is chosen first for its line and the way it is worn. Each product page lists the dimensions, the lining composition and the workshop. For a bag held first by hand, see our handbags.
