A signature piece from Maison Ashoka, the Mini Paname Uppeal™ Black carries the compact format and the emblematic clasp of the Paname line. A small black bag cut from smooth Uppeal™, a plant-based material developed in Florence from apple residue.

It takes a phone, a card holder and a lipstick, and not much more, which is rather the point.

The brass chain, in polished nickel, wears long across the body or doubled on the shoulder; unhooked from its clasps, the Mini Paname sits in the hand like a clutch. Inside, a burgundy recycled microsuede lining and one zipped pocket keep the everyday essentials in place.

Black is the quietest of the seven colors in the line: it says nothing on its own, and lets the drawing of the clasp and the shine of the polished nickel do the talking.

Wipe with a soft cloth, barely dampened with clean water, then dry immediately with a clean, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a very mild soap, applied locally, never by soaking.

Wipe up spills without delay. The material is water-resistant on the surface but not waterproof: never immerse it.

Do not apply any conditioner or protector intended for animal leather, no solvent, no alcohol, no stain remover, no abrasive product.

Store your piece dry, at room temperature and away from light, stuffed to hold its shape, in its cotton dust bag. Prolonged heat and humidity are what damage a coated material most surely.
