A belt needs only the essentials, and the maison’s, designed in Paris, keeps to them: a skinny strap, a tone-on-tone topstitch along its full length that holds the strap, a brass pin buckle. It draws the waist in one clean line, with no excess bulk.
The two colors aim for different effects. The Uppeal™ Women’s Belt Electric Blue is the most vivid: its tone-on-tone topstitch gives the blue its depth, and its buckle has a light gold finish. The Uppeal™ Women’s Belt Red is the most direct, enough on its own to carry a neutral outfit; its topstitch follows the curve of the red and its buckle has a varnished nickel finish. Each comes in two lengths, listed on its product page along with the width of the strap.
Uppeal™ is crafted in Florence from apple residue, in the Florentine tradition of working fine materials. Its smooth, satin surface gives the color center stage. It is cared for with a soft cloth barely dampened with clean water, and stored dry, away from light, in its dust bag; anything spilled on it is wiped off right away. The belt is crafted in our Thai partner workshop, dedicated exclusively to bags and accessories, where each piece is shaped from cutting to finishing.
The belt joins the maison’s accessories, alongside the wallets, coin purses and card holders. One brass pin buckle, two finishes: light gold on the Electric Blue, varnished nickel on the Red. The belt slips through the loops of a pair of jeans or sits over a plain dress, and lets the buckle sign the outfit.
