2018: a successful first year for ASHOKA PARIS
The year is coming to an end and for Ashoka Paris it has been a bubbling year.
Retrospective 2018: It was in spring, when nature wakes up and the buds are in bloom that Ashoka Paris was born.
After several months of work and development, it was during Veggie World that we presented our very young brand of eco-responsible and vegan high-end leather goods.
For the occasion, we received our pre-series as well as the prototype of a unique bag made from a revolutionary material made from apple waste.
We are proud to be the first French leather goods brand to have sourced this new material, the Apple Skin.
The week following the Veggie World, we started a crowdfunding operation with Kisskissbankbank in order to be able to launch our first production and officially create Ashoka Paris.
It is with great emotion that, day after day, for 5 weeks, we have followed the upward curve of our fundraising. Each new participation was a small victory and reassured us about the future of our young brand. We have thus achieved 126% of the objectives that we had set ourselves.

The Veggie World reassured us and the crowdfunding finally convinced us that we had made the right choice.
The finished kisskissbankbank, we officially created the brand and launched the first production.
First important choices, first doubts and first disappointments, we naively thought that all the materials would be available…. But that was not the case…. We still had a lot to learn...
Gradually the materials arrived. The black color was the first produced. And in September, we went to Thailand to check each item one by one.
It was an opportunity to forge ties with our Thai contacts and to spend 3 days at the workshop in a studious but nevertheless relaxed atmosphere.
On our return to France, it was with emotion that we began sending the first rewards.
October: our 2nd Veggie World!
But part of the production hasn't arrived yet so too bad, we've done some presale...
At the same time, our eshop was launched and the first orders began to flow. We made a lot of shipments for Christmas, and several models found themselves out of stock for the end of the year.
In December, with 5 eco-responsible and vegan brands, Blanlac, By Blanch, Camille, Capsule Wess and Poétique Paris, we have created a collective, L'Atelier Responsable.
This collective was born in the form of an ephemeral shop that opened its doors for a week in the heart of Veggietown in Paris.

We were elected by Peta France "Best vegan bags 2018" .
We received this award as a huge honor, a real motivation to continue on this path and to develop our range.
So ready for new adventures and beautiful surprises in 2019!!!?
