Terms of sale

1. Purpose

These general terms and conditions of sale govern the contractual relationship between Maison Ashoka and any person making a purchase on the website www.ashokaparis.com.

Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. Products

  • The products offered are those described on the website, subject to availability.
  • Maison Ashoka makes every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information. In case of error or unavailability, Maison Ashoka cannot be held liable.

4. Prices

  • Prices are indicated in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT), excluding delivery costs.
  • Delivery costs are specified when placing the order.
  • Maison Ashoka reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but the price applied will be that in effect at the time of the order.
  • Products remain the property of Maison Ashoka until full payment is received.

5. Orders

The ordering process includes:

  1. Selection of items and adding to the cart
  2. Review of the cart and choice of delivery
  3. Creation of or login to a customer account
  4. Acceptance of the terms and conditions and validation
  5. Secure payment
  6. Order confirmation sent by email

Maison Ashoka reserves the right to refuse an order in case of fraud, manifest anomaly, or previous dispute.

6. Payment

Payment is made in euros:

  • By credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Carte Bleue)
  • By PayPal
  • In several installments free of charge via Alma (eligible between €100 and €2,000 – only for adult customers – secured by 3D Secure).

In case of an accepted return, the refund will be processed via Alma: remaining installments will be canceled and/or recalculated accordingly.

7. Delivery

Delivery is available in mainland France, Europe, and internationally.

  • Estimated timeframe: 2 to 5 working days for mainland France.
  • Maximum timeframe: unless otherwise stated at the time of order, delivery will take place within thirty (30) days from order validation, in accordance with Article L.216-1 of the French Consumer Code.
  • Notification: the customer receives an email when the order is dispatched.

Duties and Customs
For deliveries outside the European Union, Maison Ashoka ships orders on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis: import duties and taxes are included in the purchase price and fully covered by Maison Ashoka. The customer therefore has no additional fees to pay upon delivery.

Inspection upon receipt
The customer must check the condition of the package and report any anomaly within three (3) days to contact@ashokaparis.com.
In case of proven non-conformity, Maison Ashoka will cover the return and proceed with a refund or replacement.

8. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer has fourteen (14) days from receipt of the order to exercise the right of withdrawal, without having to provide any reason or incur any costs other than those provided by law.

  • Returns are free of charge within mainland France.
  • From abroad, return shipping costs are borne by the customer (except in cases of non-conformity).

Products must be returned new, unworn, in their complete original packaging.

Non-returnable products

  • Personalized or custom-made products.
  • Sealed products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (e.g., earphones) once unsealed.
  • Perishable products.

“Good Deals” Products

Items in the “Good Deals” category (from photoshoots, exhibitions, or with minor aesthetic defects) are offered at a reduced price and sold as is.
They remain subject to the legal guarantees of conformity and hidden defects, as well as the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.
However, the one-year commercial warranty does not apply to these items.

Refunds are issued within 14 days maximum, using the same payment method as the original purchase.

9. Personal Data

Data collected is necessary for order processing and customer relations.
It is processed in compliance with the GDPR.

10. Intellectual Property

All elements of the website are the exclusive property of Maison Ashoka and protected by copyright and trademark law.
Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

11. Disputes and Mediation

These terms and conditions are governed by French law.

In case of dispute, the customer may contact customer service at: contact@ashokaparis.com.
Failing an amicable solution, the customer is informed that they may use a consumer mediator free of charge.

Designated mediator:
Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice (CM2C)

If no amicable agreement is reached, the competent French courts may be seized.

12. Warranties

Legal warranties
All products sold are covered by:

  • The legal warranty of conformity of two (2) years provided by Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The customer may demand repair or replacement of the non-conforming product, or failing that, a price reduction or cancellation of the sale.
  • The legal warranty against hidden defects provided by Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code, allowing the customer to obtain cancellation of the sale or a price reduction if a hidden defect renders the product unfit for its intended use.

These legal warranties apply independently of any commercial warranty that may be offered.

Commercial warranty
In addition, Maison Ashoka offers a one (1) year commercial warranty covering manufacturing defects. Depending on the case, this warranty allows for exchange, repair, or refund of the product.

Exclusion: Items in the “Good Deals” category are not covered by the one-year commercial warranty.
