At the Veggie World Paris trade show in April 2022, Ashoka Paris unveiled its first sneaker collection: the Matéo . For this ambitious project, the brand partnered with David Matéo , a renowned designer in the footwear industry. Drawing on his 20 years of experience, he brought his expertise and vision to create a sneaker that combines style, comfort, and environmental responsibility.
An eco-friendly design
The Matéo stands out for its use of innovative and responsible materials. The shoe's various versions are made from bio-based and recycled materials, such as Uppeal™ (a material derived from apple waste), textiles made from grains and cotton, and recycled polyester. These choices aim to reduce the shoe's environmental footprint while offering a vegan alternative to traditional leather.

Thanks to its Strobel construction, the Matéo offers both flexibility and durability. Its injected insole guarantees optimal cushioning and long-lasting comfort, ideal for urban life while respecting the environment. Flat waxed cotton laces and gold eyelets add a final touch of elegance.
