A briefcase can be clean-lined without being severe. Its name speaks of the city, its format of the office. The City is the office piece of the Kromatik line: the origami look and faceted pull tab of its four siblings, set on a flat, structured format that moves from one meeting to the next without losing its line.
It currently comes in three colors, all in Full Uppeal™: Red, the most direct; Silver, with a metallic sheen that catches the daylight; Pearl Gray, a luminous neutral. None of the three is dark, and the City stands out on a meeting table. Uppeal™ is crafted in Florence from apple residue, in the Florentine tradition of working fine materials; here, it dresses the whole bag.
It is carried by hand by its two handles. Its nylon strap, matched to the color, adjusts and detaches: the City moves to the shoulder for the commute and back to the hand on arrival. Inside, the central gusset holds the laptop, and two pockets, one of them zipped, keep what the day brings. The zipper closes it all, and once the strap comes off, the City returns to a pure briefcase line.
Designed in Paris, the City is crafted in our Chinese partner workshop. Its product page gives its dimensions and lining details. To carry a laptop on the back, there is the Lively, from the same line; for a more open format, the Jolly, its tote.
