A piece of the Couture line, the Compagnon Couture Uppeal™ Black is known for its raised topstitch, inherited from traditional saddlery, which traces the plain Uppeal™.

Uppeal™, a plant-based material made from apple residue crafted in Florence, reveals its even grain. This is the larger of the two Compagnons: twelve card slots, six compartments including two for notes, a zipped coin pocket and two patch pockets.

Inside, the black lining is lifted by burgundy nylon compartments echoing the Brigitte Couture Black bag it pairs with. Black is its most understated expression, the one worn without a thought.

Wipe with a soft cloth, barely dampened with clean water, then dry immediately with a clean, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a very mild soap, applied locally, never by soaking.

Wipe up spills without delay. The material is water-resistant on the surface but not waterproof: never immerse it.

Do not apply any conditioner or protector intended for animal leather, no solvent, no alcohol, no stain remover, no abrasive product.

Store your piece dry, at room temperature and away from light, stuffed to hold its shape, in its dust bag. Prolonged heat and humidity are what damage a coated material most surely.
