Joséphine

A dark coat, a turtleneck, and a touch of texture that softens the whole look: that is where the Joséphine belongs. Designed in Paris and, like every piece of the maison, given a first name, it rests on a simple idea: a band of long-pile vegan fur, dense and soft, with bias-cut ends that give it a supple drape.

Its shape lends itself to several ways of wearing it. Draped, it follows the lapel of a coat and blends into its line. Knotted, it stays close to the neck on windy days. Crossed over a turtleneck, it extends the neckline and turns a simple outfit into a winter one. One size, it adjusts to the way it is worn, looser or snugger as the cold demands.

It comes in four colors. Pearl Gray and Bronze Green keep things quiet; Warm Brown and Amber Dune bring warmer notes that answer dark coats as well as light knits. Bronze Green also appears on the Suzon hooded scarf, cut from the same long-pile vegan fur: the two pieces can be worn together or take turns as the cold changes.

Maison Quivernay, our sister house, is a Parisian vegan fur house: it gives shape to the Joséphine as well as the Suzon. The scarf contains no animal-derived material: no animal fur, no wool, no down, no silk. It calls for professional dry cleaning.
