Florence is where tradition and innovation meet. The maison’s bamboo-based material is crafted in Florence from bamboo, in the Florentine tradition of working fine materials, by the same supplier as Uppeal™. At Ashoka Paris it comes in a single color, Sand: a light beige that gives the maison’s silhouettes a softer reading without changing a line of their design.
The Brigitte, a flap shoulder bag, comes here in two writings. The Brigitte Couture Bamboo Sand embraces restraint: a plain material, a tone-on-tone piped topstitch and a removable strap in bamboo-based material, worn on the shoulder or crossbody. The Brigitte Oxymore Bamboo Sand plays on contrast with recycled microsuede in the same tone, and two removable straps, one a brass chain in a gold finish, the other in bamboo-based material. Each forms a pair with its Compagnon: the Compagnon Couture Bamboo Sand, with twelve card slots, and the more compact Compagnon Oxymore Bamboo Sand, with eight.
The signature piece of Maison Ashoka, the Mini Paname Bamboo Sand keeps the clasp of the Paname line and its brass chain in a gold finish, worn single as a crossbody, doubled on the shoulder, or removed to carry the bag in hand. Two small pieces complete the collection. The Coin Purse Bamboo Sand closes with a rounded flap and a magnetic snap, with three compartments for cards and coins. The Zipped Card Holder Bamboo Sand closes with a zipper that runs all the way around, over ten card slots and a zipped coin pocket.
Every piece has a gold finish and a sand interior; each product page lists the lining composition. Designed in Paris, they are crafted in our Thai partner workshop, dedicated exclusively to bags and accessories, where each piece is shaped from cutting to finishing. Sand thus joins the other colors of the Brigitte, the Compagnon, the Coin Purse and the Zipped Card Holder, as the light shade of each palette.
